When I ordered this product I was skeptical. There weren’t many reviews and the ones I could find claimed they had issues and poor customer service. I’ve been using mine for almost 2 months now. I can’t speak for longevity. However, this robot has been awesome for me. It doesn’t work for my tanning ledge, unfortunately, but scrubs every other aspect very well. I have a free form pool with two ledges and stairs. It navigates all obstacles with ease. Picks up everything in my pool on each scheduled operation (regardless if a storm came through or only has a few specs). I haven’t had my cord tangle at all yet. Basket is large, great at keeping debris in it, and easy to clean. The filter is great and easy to clean. So far no rusting of any metal components. The app can be spotty. Often when using the remote function it will stick and I have to kill the app and reset blue tooth and start the app again. It’s still functional and able to reconnect each time with a little tampering. I absolutely love the one click feature that allows you to grab it out of the water.
Now… for those considering dolphin. I have a customer who bought the E20 first, I set it up for her and watched it perform. This is far better. She returned it after two weeks (poor performance) and bought the E30, with WiFi and app control. I set this one up as well and played with the app control. WYBOT is far better! Her remote control feature is way less responsive, it doesn’t have the one click return feature, and was having issues communicating with the robot through the app in general. Also the E20 had signs of rust in the leaf basket after a few weeks. The cord constantly tangled as well. I’m extremely disappointed in the capabilities and quality I saw in two different models of Dolphin brand cleaners (known to be the best).
The only downfall I can see to the machine I bought at this point. Would be if, it breaks before one year. I’d buy it over and over again at 900 bucks a year. A pool guy would cost me 190 a month in my area. 75 for cleaning a month, that has my pool clean constantly…. No regrets
